Well, I’ve spent the week looking over materials and trying to come up with the start of my teaching plans for this fall. Last year I purchased a software to help with this, but never used it. I’ve been reading over the user manual and have decided that it will help a lot! You just have to put in quite a bit of time on the front end. But once you do, the rest is smooth sailing!
I chose Home School Easy Records. I think lots of the different programs are similar, but one thing that stood out with HER was that you can share lesson plans with other users.
The second big thing is that you make a lesson plan with no dates. So then it can be stored for future use (like the next child in a few years). You make the lesson plan and then link it to a student and course and it will automatically fill in the lessons according to the school calendar you entered. There is a free 30 day trial, so check it out.
And now you know what I’ll be doing for the rest of the summer!
